Pinned topic SQL Server Wrapper - Unique Identifier

I'm using the SQL Server wrapper and have some columns that have the unique identifier field in the source. I'm trying to join those to fields in DB2 which I've set up as varchar(40). When trying to join them, I set the type mapping in Federation Server to use varchar(40) but the field doesn't join. When trying to do an insert into the db2 database using data supplied by SQL server, I can't use the fields with the uniqueidentifier so it's difficult to determine how to do inserts/ updates. Any ideas on how I can get the uniqueidentifier field converted to a string of varchar(40) so that it will map over to db2?

Re: SQL Server Wrapper - Unique Identifier2009-05-21T12:12:41Z in response to SystemAdminWhat's the actual data type for Unique Identifier in SQL Server? And is there a way to cast the Unique Identifier to a varchar in a view and create nickname for the view instead?
