I am trying to locate a heap problem in my CDC/PP application using J9.
In order to get the garbage collector infos I normally use the -verbose:gc -Xloggc command arguments in my Sun VM on the desktop.
I have only found the -verbose:gc option for J9. Is there any (hidden) command line switch to log those information to a file?
What is an alternative/better way to debug heap problems with J9?

Re: -Xloggc command line parameter2008-08-30T05:53:05Z in response to SystemAdminYou can redirect J9 output to file using -tofile:filename parameter, e.g. -tofile:\J9\gc.txt. For debugging memory problems you can try using MicroAnalyzer which used to be part of WSDD.
