Pinned topic FileNet Cap Pro 5.1

‏2008-06-27T10:53:36Z |
Hi All,

I tried using Doc processing Component to separate documents using Barcode as a separartor but somehow doc processing is not detecting the barcode . Wanted to know if it is really possible to use doc processing component and separate documents and batches when document ingestion is through File Import and not thru scan.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

    Hello,

The method of ingestion does not matter, but the configuration of Capture needs to be quite specific.

If you could tell me more about your configuration I may be able to help. Do you have Capture Pro? With Advanced Document Recognition (ADR)?

The document's you're trying to import - how is the separation done? Just a barcode on every page? First page in the document? Are you using a separator page?

Capture ADR's Auto page recognition and separation was introduced in the ADR 5.2 release I believe. Other methods were available before then. If you can provide some more information I should be able to help.

      Hi Adam,

we have Capture Pro 5.1 with doc processing component and not with ADR.
Barcode is used as a separator (batch as well as document separator) and the files ingested through file import
      are all in .tiff format.

      thanks & regards
