Pinned topic RAID0 & RAID1 on JS21 on bladecenter s Chassis?

‏2008-06-20T05:53:09Z |
I got a new Bladecenter S chassis with four JS21 blades in it,i got one SAS module installed in bay 3 and i have 4 drives in storage module1, i have VIOS installed on all these blades successfully & i had assigned 1 each external drive o each blade.

The SAS Expansion Card supports three RAID levels:
RAID-1 (called Integrated Mirroring)
RAID-1E (called Integrated Mirroring Enhanced)
RAID-0 (called Integrated Striping)

This can be done The LSI Configuration Utility program as per IBM document redp4357.pdf but when i reboot these blades i don't see the LSI Configuration Utility program so that i can hit contl+C ?

can anyone give me step by step procedure to complete the RAID on JS21 on Bladecenter S chassis?

Your help is appreciated

Thanks

    Dear Mazil,

I've noticed that you are trying to create the a RAID scheme using AIX as a VIOS, per your latest posts in other forums. The IBM Installation Toolkit is a Linux-targeted tool, and also does not support setting up RAID arrays yet.

I'm posting a thread in the IBM Blade center forum to request someone to have a look at your post here.

    Kind regards,
