Pinned topic Using PX Data Sets Instead of QS Fixed width Flat Files

‏2008-05-30T15:23:33Z |
Hi All,

DataStage version: 7.5
QualityStage version:7.5
I want to run the QualityStage Standardization job in Parallel Mode using "-noimport" option(i.e I want to use datasets instead of Fixed width flat files).

Note: I referred the "Ascential QualityStage Designer User Guide" Page Number: 158,Chapter: 8-12

"Important: Ascential QualityStage Parallel Extender jobs read and write persistent data sets with schems defined as follows:
• Only one field is defined in the record. Field length = total record length.
• Field type is raw.
DataStage Parallel Extender jobs that interface with Ascential QualityStage Parallel Extender jobs must account for the schema requirements of the Ascential QualityStage job in order to work properly. "

Can I know the DataStage side steps for building the input dataset and reading the output dataset?

So any idea about this please reply to me.

Thanks
Raju

You can either use the Column Export Stage to mapped your fields to a single Fixed Length Raw Field. In the designer Binary Data type = Raw. Which is the simplest or a transformer.
