Pinned topic Dommino field selection problem for names sharing the same initial chars

‏2008-05-06T09:07:53Z |
Is anyone aware of a solution for what appears to be a bug in Portlet Factory 6.02, which relates to the selection of fields from a Domino form. If the first 8 or so characters of a Domino field name are common with another field on the form, the value of the first field is returned for all subsequent fields which start with the matching characters. I have only noticed the problem since upgrading to 6.02. I can get around the problem by changing the field names in Domino, but it is not an ideal solution as new fields have to be created & populated in the database.

You may want to try the 6.0.2.2 fix pack if you don't already have it installed. The behavior you describe sounds like it's related to a bug that was fixed in 6.0.2.2. From the 6.0.2.2 install notes:

Ref 31439 - IXml getData method does not work correctly when one element name is a prefix of another element name. The getData method now returns the correct data.

Thanks for the prompt feedback. I am, downloading the fixpack, and will see if that resolves the issue.
