Pinned topic Fortran with zero extent

‏2008-03-25T09:43:27Z |
I have some Fortran codes to compile. One contains a Fortran array with three dimensions, one of which has an extent of zero based on the values of various variables at compile time. for example:

common/tracer/tr(ilt*jlt+npwr*iextra,klt,ntracmax),

And ilt*jlt+npwr*iextra = 0

At various places, data is assigned to the array and in the assignment, the extent used is no longer zero. for example:

tr(1:ifull,k,j) = ... where ifull is >1.

I believe this code compiles on SGI and NEC Systems.

Is there any way to compile this code using the xlf compiler?
