Pinned topic Configuring Derby DataSource in WAS

‏2008-03-02T10:54:40Z |
I am trying to configure JDBC DataSource in WAS 6 for a Derby Database. However when I test the connection I keep on getting the following error.

java.lang.Exception: java.sql.SQLException: Database 'Users' not found.DSRA0010E: SQL State = XJ004, Error Code = 40,000
Why can't WAS find the derby db I created ?

This message means that the file system path supplied with the connection URL does not resolve (on the WAS Server machine) to a path to the database named 'User'. Try specifying an absolute path to the database or, if you are using a relative path, be sure to know where WAS is setting derby.system.home (this may be reported in the SytemOut.log). By default derby.system.home will be the folder where the derby.log file is created.

If this does not help resolve the problem please post the absolute path to the database as well as the datasource connection URL attributes you specify.

TI think the path is entered as part of the datasource databaseName property.
