Following is the JDK I am using:
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build pap64dev-20070511(SR5))
IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.5.0 IBM J9 2.3 AIX ppc64-64 j9vmap6423-20070426 (JIT enabled)
When a thread is timed-waiting for a Condition, the thread is expected to be in the TIMED_WAITING state, instead thread is in RUNNABLE state. The attached code produces the bug on above mentioned JDK. Same code on Sun JDK 1.5 on Wintel shows thread state as TIMED_WAITING when waiting on a Condition.
Please confirm that this is a bug OR whether this is normal behavior.
If this is not the right forum for this, please point me in the right direction.
