Pinned topic lvm_queryvg call results in a sudden memory rise on AIX 5.3.

On AIX 5.3 host, the lvm_queryvg call does not work properly and results in a sudden memory rise. This is happening on one particular host and the same call works fine on another host.

Is this a known issue and is there any patch available for this?

Have you checked log? Is there any error message? Are there any irregularities in lsvg (-o) and lspv outputs? Maybe you have problem with loglv? Are your vg's often varied off? Are they varied on without difficulties?

I understand this is an outdated forum but there is a fix for the memory leaks.

    IV17847 MEMORY LEAK IN LVM_QUERYVG

    Hope this helps.
