Why not use MyAlerts portlet? Do you have any special requirements? Whatever, MyAlerts portlet is a good example.

I am working with MyAlerts portlet only but finding difficult bring new alerts into MyAlerts portlet from new data provider which i created.

Following are the steps that I followed.

      1) Created Data Provider to get data from Database --> Completed
      2) Configure Data Provider with Alert Data Object --> Completed.
      3) Exposed Columns (DB fields) in Alert Data object of service provider inside Manage Alert Portlet create new Definition wizard--> Completed
      4) Create new script based Alert Definition --> Completed
      5) When i test the newly created Alert Definition it gives following exception

An Error occurred while testing the Alert: Evaluation of alert with ID "SalesAlert" failed.

To get the Alerts in My Alerts portlet what else i need to do.

It would be a great help for me if you can provide some help in this regard.

        Hello,

Have you been able to successfully configure the alertable SQL data in the MyAlerts portlet ? Please share some information as to how you were able to do this.

        Thanks!
