Pinned topic J2EE Deployment Operation

‏2007-07-17T13:14:12Z |
Hi,
I have a web project which is used only for exposing some business logic as web services. All the code of the services is included into the project by means of jar files. The web services are generated by means of the java2wsdl and wsdl2java utilities and everything works as it should. I'm using RAD6.
The only problem is on the deployment process which takes forever to complete (aprox. 30 min for 60 web services). Most of the time is spent in the "J2EE Deployment Operation" phase, which constantly recreates the stubs that have already been generated with the wsdl2java tool. Is there a way to suppress the re-generation of the stubs during the deployment process (or at least make it go faster)?

Thanks in advance,
Ricardo Fernandes

I have the same problem using RAD6 with the latest updates.

Every time I generate a new webservice and restart the web project, RAD launches a J2EE Deployment Operation that regenerates all the stubs, also to the already deployed webservices.

Does anyone knows how to disable this feature from RAD?

    Thanks,
    Paulo
