The OPEN BETA version of IBM Viper Developer 9.5 (aka IBM Data Server Developer Workbench 9.5) is now available. This new beta release is the follow-on to DB2 Developer Workbench 9.1 product.

There is new support for Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) in this release. After you connect to an Informix database in the Database Explorer, you can perform most database administration tasks in the Database Explorer and you can use the connection information to create a data development project that targets IDS. You can develop and store SQL statements in the data development project.
Non-IDS enhancements include:
-Enhanced database object management including privilege management
-Customizable routine debugging for SQL PL and JDBC/SQLJ procedures
-Improved query management with query assist (SQL /SQLXML / XQuery)
-Additional XML development tools and capabilities for pureXML
-Support for DB2 9.1 Linux, UNIX, Windows, DB2 Viper 2 beta, DB2 for iSeries, and DB2 for z/OS.
