I am developing embedded application using IBM rational rose version 188.8.131.52. In my sequence diagram I came across situation of specific condition invoke as if-then-else. I want use UML 2.0 convention of using alt frames for if-then-else situation. My query : Can I create alternative frames in my sequence diagram? If so, can any one give steps to create it?

Re: Help: Creating alt frame in Sequence diagram using IBM Rational Rose 7.0.0.02007-01-31T16:24:08Z in response to SystemAdminYou can create an outline on the diagram by placing a note on the diagram and turning off Use Fill Color in the context menu. You can expand and place the note as needed. You can even put text in the note, but positioning the text to where you want it could be difficult. What's nice about using a note is that you can select the itemviews underneath it move or change them without having to move the note off of them.
I have used a similar technique with packages on a class diagram, but you cannot select items that are visible underneath the package; you have to move the package off of them.
