Pinned topic varchar for bit data

The only option for these datatypes is to write a JDBC routie to stream the data to a file. Does anyone have an example of doing this?

    There are examples of reading the long datatype in the Reference Guide at:
    Prepared statements and streaming columns
    ResultSets and streaming columns

    I also find it useful to look at the Derby tests suites - They exercise most of the functions and features in Derby. Some that may help are:

    functionTests\util\SteamsUtil.java - some basic reading of data
    functionTests\tests\store\StreamingColumn.java - reading from a file and inserting
