Does Derby provide for full-text searching on a given column (or will it ever)?

As far as 'will it ever?', I recommend posting this question to the Derby development commnunity at Apache. The mail list can be addressed with: email@example.com. I recall seeing some discussions of implementing other types of indexes that may improve text search capabilities but I have not followed the thread. You can search for this and other message threads related to text search capabilities at the nabble archive site:
