Pinned topic CARS error !!!

‏2006-12-06T12:20:22Z |
We have installed CARS Reporting on Windows 2003 server. Also CARS client ( C client) installed on the TAM setup and running on Windows 2003 server in different system. After running the amauditcfg utility, pdaudit configuration files also generated. But we are getting error like the below and there is no events recd in the CARS audit server.

2006-12-06 17:20:59.664+05:30 y:\cars600\src\cars\cbe\sendEvent.cpp checkService 949 CBACC0020E An error occurred while sending events to the audit server. The function checkService failed with the following error: HTTPTransportException:HTTP transport error Not Found .

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Note: Attached the audit conf & log file.

Thanks & Regards,
Bala.

If you try to connect to this URL using a browser:

    http://10.102.50.18:9080/CommonAuditServices/services/Emitter

Do you successfully receive a response saying (something like) "Hi, this is a Web Service"? If not then you need to check that the CARS server is running correctly in WAS.

I ran the given URL from the TAM server and got the following..

    {urn:ibm:cars:10}Emitter
Hi there, this is a Web service!

It seems CARS server is running perfect in WAS. But still getting the same error.

    Thanks.

I hope you have resolved this issue. I am getting this issue now but with a different error code:

CBACC0037E An error occurred while sending events to the audit server: <emittererror><failedevent>17</failedevent><information>java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: null</information></emittererror> .

    Can you help me.

I had the same errors with ISAM 7 on AIX. On Linux, no problem.

It turned out I had the following error in WebSphere:

    CNTR0075E: The user-provided class "com.ibm.cars.xmlstore.xmlstoreds.EJSLocalStatelessXmlStore_cdb69812
" needed by the EnterpriseBean could not be found or loaded.
    [6/26/13 11:07:19:026 CEST] 0000002c AbstractEJBRu E   WSVR0068E: Attempt to start EnterpriseBean CommonAuditService#IBMCARSxmlstoreds-ejb.jar#XmlStore failed
with exception: com.ibm.ejs.container.EJBConfigurationException: Bean class could not be found or loaded

As this is all Java, and it worked fine on Linux, I copied over the IBMCARSxmlstoreds-ejb.jar file from Linux to AIX, restarted the application, and then it worked. The AIX distribution seems to be lacking some classes, due to incorrect compilation (check out Google for an explanation of CNTR0075E)
