Listing 5. Importing default Drupal SQL database.
C:\eclipse\workspace\drupal_development> mysql -u drupal_user -p drupal_db
I received the following answer:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'drupal_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Could someone give me a hint, please?
I am stuck here with this tutorial.
The password is correct. It worked for:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator> mysql -u root -p mysql

Re: ERROR 1045 (28000)2006-10-10T20:33:34Z in response to SystemAdminsorry you're having this problem... it could be a number of things but here are a few suggestions. note that the 2 users, root vs drupal_user, are different. the easiest thing to do is to 'drop' the current database and start over following the directions on "Configuring MySQL" page 9 of the tutorial. when you issue the following:
mysql> grant select, insert, update, delete, create, drop, index, alter,
create temporary tables, lock tables
on drupal_db.* to 'drupal_user'@'localhost' identified by 'password';
note the password is in single quotes and is different than root's password. you could also, use the root user to import the sql file but this is not the recommended way. hope that helps.
