Re: contains function in DB2 92006-09-27T03:16:42Z in response to kangc13To use CONTAINS function, Net Search Extender is needed. Net Search Extender is included in all editions at no aditional charge.
You must first enable a database for net search.
If you go into the control center, right click on the database and near the bottem you will see "Net Search Extender -> Enable Database for Text".
Or from the command line you can run "db2text ENABLE DATABASE FOR TEXT CONNECT dbname";
But while enabling "Net Search Extender", I met a error message like..
CTE0296 Can't find "cteccadm" Library at "hostname". Verify installation for DB2 Net Search Extender.

Re: contains function in DB2 92012-12-09T14:41:37Z in response to kangc13I missing the WHERE
should be : SELECT * from table where CONTAINS (F2, 'input')=1
But got another error:
SQL21000N A text search option is not installed or not properly configured.
