I want to know if there is any alternative for Timer Task thread in EJB with which i can control the response time. Something like i want to timeout if a certain process takes more time that the expected. When we do it in core java we can run the process in a new thread with a timer task thread associated with it, and interrupt the trhead when it hits the timeout. How the same can be achieved in EJB ? I cannot use another thread. what is the solution for it ?

Re: How to handle timeout functionality in EJB2006-06-30T14:13:56ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer.I'm pretty sure that most containers offer a way to set timeouts on EJB methods; I would post this question in the server-side Java forum.
