Pinned topic API for MetaStage

‏2005-11-02T17:10:18Z |
Hi,

We are using Metastage 7.5.1 R2. We have a Portal Application using Websphere 5.x that needs to access Meta Stage.

I checked the docs and could not find any reference to access MetaStage using Java API.

Has anyone integrated Java application to MetaStage? How would you go about doing this?

About the only thing you can do is use the views that come with the product. They expose a complex view of what is, under the covers, far more complex. There is definitely no API for MetaStage.

    Hi Srini,
The MetaStage browser is a Java/Servlet-based web application. It uses ODBC to connect to the MetaStage repository and Jetty as Web sever.
I have written several Servlets using JDBC to interact with the MetaStage repository. I am pretty sure you can make Jetty's web server to talk to your Websphere's portal, but it is just going to be a lot of work. Hopefully, this give you an idea where to start. Good luck.
