Is there a method of compiling DS created source code with dynamic linking?
The predefined JCL in Datastage only compiles the source code using static linking and this method will not work with our currently defined procedures to migrate source code using the ENDEVOR migration tool on the mainframe.
Are there others on this site that currently migrate using ENDEVOR and the statically linked compile procedures? Do you have to use an new procedure within ENDEVOR each time a new program is compiled?
Thanks for any info that can be provided,

Re: Compiling DS source on the Mainframe2004-03-16T02:52:36ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer. It's been a while since I played with this, but my feeling is that the answer is no. Certainly the DataStage runtime library is statically linked, and there's no way you will be able to change this.
