I would like to know whether I can install Websphere Everyplace Access on Workplace ervices Express 2.5 since it has Websphere Application Server at the backend? Or Do I need to install Websphere Application Server itself to run WEA ?

Re: Can Websphere Everyplace Access install on WSE 2.5 ?2006-01-19T10:48:31Z in response to SystemAdminWEA can run on the WSE 2.5
WSE 2.5 uses the WebSphere 18.104.22.168 version of Portal and AppServer.
However installing it causes some problems, since I'm using a later version of DB2 which needs to be compensated for in some ant scripts.
I have Everyplace Access Services, Device Manager, DB2Everyplace (v8.2) and the synchronization server running, but I'm still having some problems...
I can access Everyplace with my PDA's online but I am unable so far to get the device manager running correctly. Therefore I had to deploy my clients manualy. I have the Everyplace client 5.0.1 running on my PDA now and I am able to synchronize my mail, calendar and so on.
Until now I am not able to use offline portlets and I can not use the workplace portlets since those still need to be configured for PDA Support
