Pinned topic Printing barcode in Jasper Report using Font IDAutomation Code 39

‏2005-08-03T01:33:12Z |
Hi..

I am trying to display a barcode on my pfd, generated using Jasper Report. The jasper has the right font (IDAutomation.com Code 39) installed but when i pass a string of numbers, it displays as number not barcode.
How do i fix this?
Thank you.

    I'm not familiar with Jasper Reports, but it has come up in this forum before, and perhaps one of the other folks will be able to help.

    Or this KA.Barcode Generator Jasper Report at http://www.keepautomation.com/guide/barcode_jasper_reports.html,
    which supports over 20 major linear and 2D barcode types like Code 39, Code 128, QR Codes, Data Matrix, PDF 417, etc.
    Hope it'd be helpful.

    That is a good site. I used that once. It's very good. And the types of barcode generators are very rich. We can find barcode generators like Java Code 39 barcode generator SDK, ASP.NET Code 39 barcode generator SDK, C# Code 39 barcode generator SDK, etc.

    I need to print Bar code labels using JasperReports reporting. I have properly design the Jasper report and I can preview it using iReport. But when I pass parameter to jasper report via Java application bar code report never generated.

    following code are used

    //Print barcode
    try
    {

    Class
    .
    forName
    (
    "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
    ).
    newInstance
    ();

    Connection
    conn
    =
    (
    Connection
    )

    DriverManager
    .
    getConnection
    (
    "jdbc:mysql:///miracleposdb"
    ,
    "root"
    ,
    "mysql"
    );

    String
    reportSource
    =
    "../src/reports/barcode.jrxml"
    ;
    /* Report Path*/

    Map
    <
    String
    ,
    Object
    >
    params
    =
    new
    HashMap
    <
    String
    ,
    Object
    >();
       params
    .
    put
    (
    "printid"
    ,
    lblbarcodeID
    .
    getText
    ());

    JasperReport
    jasperReport
    =
    JasperCompileManager
    .
    compileReport
    (
    reportSource
    );
    /*Compiling  */

    JasperPrint
    jasperPrint
    =
    JasperFillManager
    .
    fillReport
    (
    jasperReport
    ,
               params
    ,
    DB
    .
    MiraclePOS
    .
    connect
    ());
    /*Filling report*/

    JasperViewer
    .
    viewReport
    (
    jasperPrint
    ,
    false
    );

    /*For Print*/

    }
    catch
    (
    Exception
    e
    )
    {
    }

    Google is your best friend. You can find plenty of barcode creators for generating Code 39.
