Pinned topic Query results grid formatting problem

‏2005-02-22T22:03:01Z |
For a few of my users the query results grid formatting is a mess. The row size is squished so the text is sliced in half. These folks access four different CQ user databases all on the same server and all in the same Master db, yet it only occurs for one user database, and only some users. All users are on the same version of Windows XP. Their Windows Control Panel Display settings are consistent with users who are not having the problem. Any suggestions of where to look next would be appreciated.

Have them try control Z to zoom the font size in the results grid. This
and other zoom commands are found under the View menu item.

I should have stated that the zoom had already been tried. It changes the font size, but not the formatting of the grid. The problem exists regardless of the zooming that is done.

There is a key name in the Windows Registry that MAY store the values -
        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rational
        Software\ClearQuest\2003.06.00\ClearQuest\WindowSizes\Grid.

On my machine, an entry is created for each user DB after I exit. You might
compare the values from a machine that works to one that does not. I deleted
an entry without adverse effects that I could detect - another was created
        the next time I exited.

I do not know what the values indicate but it might be worth checking into
        it.

        HTH,
        Debbie

I discovered some 3rd party grid components to be very convenient for using. They have the explicit introduction to the Grid formatting and the Grid row, seems to be easy to facilitate.
