I am using java version "1.4.2_04"
I want to use keystore type as JKS but not JCEKS. When I run below command :
keytool -genkey -dname "CN=Doug Tidwell, OU=developerWorks, O=IBM, L=Research Triangle Park, S=North Carolina, C=US"
-keypass changeit -storepass changeit -alias xss4j1
I am getting below exception :
keytool error: java.io.IOException: Invalid keystore format
Please help me friends what am I missing here ...
Thanks & Regards,

Re: Invalid keystore format error2005-01-06T20:19:35ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer. This sounds like the default keystore is not of the JVM default keystore type which is normally JKS try JCEKS as the default keystore type

Are you using maven?
If you are copying keystore file with "filter=true", you may corrupt the file.
please check the file size.
