Pinned topic class diagrams

‏2004-12-21T19:39:10Z |
Hi,

I am new to Rose. I am trying to create class diagrams for a module that I am working on. I created a new model and loaded the J2SE 1.4 framework. The interface I am trying to create needs to extend from some other interface that already exists in a another package that is part of our product. Do I need to reverse-engineer those packages before I create my class diagrams. If I set the classpath in the Project specifications dialog, those classes are not shown in the "Specifications" of the interface I am creating.

Thanks
Anand

Yes, you need to reverse engineer all existing classes/interfaces into
your current model, before you can "use" it in your design work. To do
this, you have already got the first step right of including those
classes/interfaces in your classpath in the Project Specification dialog.
The next step is to do the actual reverse engineering.
