Pinned topic Linking to DOORS Requirements?

‏2004-05-22T11:00:27Z |
Hello

We already use Telelogic DOORS for requirements. I would like to know if it is possible to link requirements from DOORS to my test cases inside my Test Manager test plan. Has anyone done this so far?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

      Hi Steve,

I think we use the same thing as Sudhir. We found the
DOORS Adapter from Ring-Zero and have been using it
successfully on several projects. The company is at
      www.ring-zero.com.

"Our Test Input Adapter for DOORS allows you to associate requirements
managed using Telelogic's DOORS software (versions 5.x, 6.x, and 7.x
supported) with test cases created using IBM/Rational's Test Manager
    software (versions 2002.03-2003.06 supported). "

      Steve,

Looks like everyone's already beaten me to the punch, but
let me mention a couple things:

      • We recently added a feature that lets TM users use the
associations to push information back to DOORS, creating
round-trip traceability. Screenshots of this functionality
      http://www.ring-zero.com/support/tmdoors_support2.html

      • We are currently adding a customer-requested feature that
will allow TM users to automatically create or update
manual tests steps from attributes coming from sets of
DOORS requirements. It will also optionally allow you
to create or update a testcase that references the
requirements and is implemented using the manual test
      script created.

      Regards,
      Jason

Does anyone have any new information since this was posted in 2004? We use DOORS and TestStand but would like to have a way to transfer the requirements from DOORS directly into a Test Case manager. Any ideas?
