Pinned topic Error in LinksBuilder during project rebuild

‏2002-05-24T09:09:47Z |
Hi All,
I'm using WSAD on Win2k and have started to get the following Error while
rebuilding the app (or saving a file).
java.lang.NullPointerException encountered while running
com.ibm.iwt.linksbuilder.LinksBuilder

Any thoughts? I now cannot export my application :-(
TIA Steve

Try to delete the link_table_states.txt that's saved in your workspace under
    this directory:

    .metadata\.plugin\com.ibm.etools.j2ee\yourwebproject\

Then rebuild your project again..... It seems this worked for some other
    people.

    Hope it helps,

    Chemi.

        Hi,
Surprisingly I had the same problem couple of minutes ago 5 years after you guys have posted. Well, the solution still works on Rational Software Architect V7.0.
        Thanks for the post

This technique still works seven years later, for RAD 7.0. The directory is slightly different though. Now it's .metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.jst.j2ee\yourwebproject\
