Pinned topic Problem in deploying a Maven application

‏2013-08-05T14:13:00Z |

Hi all,

I am new on WebSphere Liberty profile 8.5.5 and I'm trying to deploy a maven web application using the liberty:deploy command.

I've done this tutorial:

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/radhelp/v9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.etools.maven.doc%2Ftopics%2Flocalrepo.html with the help of this topic: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/html/topic?id=e98d726e-6f5d-470c-a042-dd8b41384235&ps=25

So, when I tried to deploy my app, using this documentation (http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v8r5/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.websphere.wlp.express.doc%2Fae%2Frwlp_maven_deploy.html), I've got the following error:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal com.ibm.websphere.wlp.maven.plugins:liberty-maven-plugin:1.0:deploy (default-cli) on project MyProject: CWWKM2155E: There is no application to be deployed as specified by the appArchive attribute. -> [Help 1]
org.apache.maven.lifecycle.LifecycleExecutionException: Failed to execute goal com.ibm.websphere.wlp.maven.plugins:liberty-maven-plugin:1.0:deploy (default-cli) on project MyProject: CWWKM2155E: There is no application to be deployed as specified by the appArchive attribute.
    at org.apache.maven.lifecycle.internal.MojoExecutor.execute(MojoExecutor.java:217)
    at org.apache.maven.lifecycle.internal.MojoExecutor.execute(MojoExecutor.java:153)

My appArchive attribute is pointing to my WAR file.

Does anyone know what could rolve this issue?

Regards.

Can you paste your pom.xml or at least the part of it that configures the liberty-maven-plugin?

Or if you are executing the deploy operation from the command line, ensure you specify an abolsute path location for the war file instead of a relative path. This error is generated if the appArchive property is not set, it points to an non-existent file or specifies a directory. See https://github.com/WASdev/ci.maven/blob/master/liberty-maven-plugin/src/main/java/net/wasdev/wlp/maven/plugins/applications/DeployAppMojo.java (line 66).
