Pinned topic Can we use date() function in a virtual table in IA 9.1 instance

Hi,

Is there any option by which we can use date() function in a virtual table

the logic I wanted to implement in a virtual table is

(firstdate <= date()) AND ((lastdate is null) or (lastdate >=date()))

But this is not getting validated...

so is there any option by which i can use date() option in virtual table

You can try using freeform entry option.  Bear in mind that the Virtual Table is creating a SQL Where clause so needs to be valid SQL syntax there to work (i.e. make sure you use a system date function for the relevant database rather than the IA rule functions here).

It's possible that the IA UI validation will complain about the syntax entered for the Virtual Table.  That can be bypassed if you use the IA API to load the Virtual Table syntax.  You can find the xml schema syntax for that in the IA documentation regarding the API's (and command line interface).

    Hope that helps.
