Pinned topic Websphere liberty profile: how to work with siteminder

‏2013-08-22T02:11:46Z | siteminder webshpere-liberty

We are using the websphere-liberty as the web server for our web applications. As we know, websphere can support the CA siteminder SSO by simple configuration. But now  from liberty document, we cannot get the method which how to work with siteminder by liberty.

Is there any clues or document? Thank you.

If you have used the TrustAssociationInterceptor(TAI) interface to work with the SiteMinder TAI implementation in the full profile for SSO, you should be able to use that in the Liberty profile too since TAI is supported in Liberty - just like in the full profile. More information about the TAI setup in liberty can be found here. If there are any specific issues with the SiteMinder TAI implementation in Liberty they need to be contacted directly for support.

Thank you for your replying firstly. In full profile, there are some directories to configure the siteminder attributes. But in liberty profile, there is no place to configure these attributes. As you give the liberty TAI configuration link, only get the simple configuration sample, which cannot tell me about configuring the siteminder policy server address, etc.

What you are referring are the configuration attributes that are needed for the SiteMinder TAI to work. Typically a TAI implementation has a set of properties that will be used during the initializing of that TAI. These should be a set of key/value pairs. The link shows how you can configure your key/value pair in the properties attribute (prop`="value1" for example)in Liberty. You should be able to use this to configure the SiteMinder TAI related properties and give it a try. We are not familiar with the specific SiteMinder properties so you need to contact them for more information.
