Pinned topic New to Rhapsody or Model Based Engineering?

If you are new to Rhapsody or Model Based Engineering - Rhapsody and Rhapsody Design Manager provides a better approach for dealing with the (rising) complexity, with support in the tool set you will be able to better manage this complexity and reduce time-to-market.

Moving from manual and textual methods to an automated, visual approach

IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® family provides multiple editions to help systems engineers and embedded software developers analyze, design, develop, test, and deliver embedded, real-time systems and software. Rhapsody Architect for example exist in two version one for software engineers and one for system engineers and is priced at approximately $690 for an authorized user (please contact your sales rep for an updated and accurate price).

On a high level Rhapsody and Rhapsody Design Manager will allow you to:

  • Empower to work at a higher level of abstraction
    • Express specifications/design graphically
    • Using industry standard unambiguous notations
      • Improve communication cross teams and across supply chain
  • Early and continuous proving of specification and testing of design through model-based simulation and analysis
  • Provide traceability:
    • Requirements > specification > design > code
    • Show how and why design decisions and trade-offs were made
  • Code generation ensures implementation and design are intrinsically in synchronization
    • Automatic synchronization of model / code
    • Code centric or model centric

Rhapsody enables systems engineers to elaborate and analyze requirements, optimize architectures, validate design behavior and performance allowing continuous validation & verification while automatically creating systems specifications, interface design documents and systems test cases in support of continuous engineering processes.

Software engineers use Rhapsody to create efficient and testable embedded software architectures and designs-usually before target hardware is available-while automating the development, validation, test and documentation of real-time and embedded applications enabling agile development processes to be realized.

IBM® Rational® Rhapsody® feature Design Manager opens architecture discussions to the larger product team.  It allows team members to visualize what has been created in Rhapsody and integrate those elements into the Lifecycle via OSLC.

Thank you very much for reading and if you have any questions of Rhapsody or Rhapsody Design Manager - please let me know (johan.adelgaard@se.ibm.com).

    Hi,

The link: "Learn how you can get your design requirements right!" seems not working.

Raises an error: "404 Page Not Found".

    Regards

    Giovanni

    Hi Johan,

Hm, same result (Error 404). I've tried with chrome/firefox and ie, but I get always the 404 error.

(Google points also to the same link - is it possible that geoblocking is active on your website?)

    Regards

Hi Giovanni! It is not only you, the reason to why I could see it was because it was cashed. Now I can not, and was just informed they they are migrating our enlightement webinars to a new page. Will keep you updated on when that is final.

Not a substitute for the link, but still some relvant info: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1122E405F2CC4EE5

    Sorry for this Giovanni.
