Pinned topic DS4500 host creation problem

‏2013-06-28T09:35:11Z |

Hey all,

I have a weird problem. I cleaned up our old DS4500, deleted all the hosts and volumes. After that I had to create a host but it places the host under "default group", I cant place the host separately. The thing is that Default Group is accessible to SAN and all the hosts. Decided to upgrade DS to latest fw, nothing changed. Tried Host Group, moving, nothing.

Funny thing is that we had hosts separately from Default Group before.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

this is the default behaviour, when you havent mapped a LUN to a host. Try map a LUN to the host and it should move the host out of the default Group automaticly.

Hehe, seems like I've been working too much. Easiest things don't come to mind.

I actually think I tried it but some random server found the drive but I guess it was something else.

    Thanks :)
