Pinned topic Export Multipage document in Content Manager

‏2012-12-24T12:34:19Z |
 Dear All,

I am stuck in exporting multipage document in ibm content manager v8 using uploadDoc_DCO action (at document level).
 Before this, i have successfully merge all the tiffs into a single tif file at document level. The name of multpage tif file is batachid +document id (20120812.003.01)

Can any one help me

Thanks

Arsalan

    Change the name of the tiff file to @ID (which is the Document ID in your case)

    good luck

     Fadi,

    Thanks for responding.
    Actually, the tiff file name is already made with @ID (20120359.006.01.tif).

     Hi,

    I think the action UploadDCO_DOC doesn't take parameters, try it without parameters.

    If it is not working, we should look at the output of the batch log, please attach it.

    And ensure that you have installed necessary prerequisites for ICM connector. see this:

    Hi,

    I tried  UploadDCO_DOC action without parameters but still it does not work.
    Please see the attached log file (export_rrs.log) in the link below.

    I figure out the problem. In Datacap v8.0.1 , you have to pass a boolean (true) in  IBMCM_UploadDCO_DOC () action as a parameter .Then it will check for multipage tif file at document level.

    export_rrs.log
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0             action returned true
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0          /action
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0          action IBMCM_UploadDCO_DOC ()
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0  File C:\Datacap\Oratech\batches\20120361.002\.01.tif not found.
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0  File C:\Datacap\Oratech\batches\20120361.002\.01.tif not found.
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0  File C:\Datacap\Oratech\batches\20120361.002\.01.tif not found.
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0  File C:\Datacap\Oratech\batches\20120361.002\.01.tif not found.
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0             result 1[1] = false
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0             action returned false
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0          /action

    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0          func result: "false"
    16:43:02.876 (0)    t:E1C p:2E38AA0  Function esec='1.98438'

    The action looks for the file name .01.tif int the current batch directory which is not created due to sFile = Right(sFile,len(sFile) - 12)  in the existing action. It should be
    sFile = Right(sFile,len(sFile) - 13)  . I tried to modify out of the box action, but it aborts due to some copyright issues.

    UploadDCO_DOC action
     ....................................
    ........................
    If Ucase(StrParam) = "TRUE" Then
                    ' export document level image file: @DOCID.TIF
                    sFile = CurrentObj.ID
                    If len(sFile) > 12 Then
                        ' if re-exporting (TWCC), the DocID may have the BatchID pre-pended.  Remove it.
                        sFile = Right(sFile,len(sFile) - 12)
                    End If
                    sFile = BatchDir & sFile & ".tif"
                End If

    Alternatively,  you have to write a custom action that will rename the multipage tiff  0120361.002.01.tif  to .01.tif at document level.

    By doing the above steps , i am successfully able to export multipage tif file in IBM Content Manager v8

     These lines were created when i passed the boolean true in uploadDCO_DOC action.

    Thanks for your cooperation
