Pinned topic Data Studio ver 3.2.0.0 Issue

‏2013-08-06T19:34:14Z |

I installed Data Studio ver 3.2.0.0 on a windows 7 pc.  Did the typical install which was successful.  I could connect to our db2 for z/os version 9 successully.

Used IBM Data Server Driver for JDBC and SQLJ (JDBC 4.0) default.

We have 3 databases connections we access.  I ran tests on the 3 versions of our db2 databases.  On 2 I clicked on Stored procs from Schema and I could access access the stored procs and could execute them successfully.

The third one is the same as the other 2 but when I tried to expand the stored procedures none of the stored procs none of the existing stored procs are showing up and the .log

    Hi Carlos,

Thank you for reporting the issue!  We would need more information in order to investigate, for example, JCC trace and details of recreation steps.  Would you like to work with the support team to open a PMR so that we can collect more info for your use case scenario?

    Thanks!

    Emily

I would like help y'all out.  How do I do the jcc trace?  Once I know how to do a jcc trace I will attach the results.

I have attached file with the information I have at hand.  Let me know if you need more information.

      Thanks for your help.

        Carlos,

        Based on the info here:

        • Mainframe DB2 log:

             DSNL027I  -DB2D SERVER DISTRIBUTED AGENT WITH  223

                   LUWID=GA402506.C502.CBCD000E86BE=139

                   THREAD-INFO=TDCJJC:ITD-204643:tdcjjc:db2jcc_application

                   RECEIVED ABEND=04E

The Info center says this: An X'04E' abend completion code indicates that DB2 detected an internal error and abended a DB2 internal task (TCB) or a user-connected task
        (Reference: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/dzichelp/v2r2/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.db2z9.doc.codes%2Fsrc%2Ftpc%2Fdb2z_abendcompletioncodes.htm)

It looks like a database issue.  Can you post a note at the z/OS server forum, or contact IBM support to open a PMR to the z/OS team?  They will request more DB2 z/OS trace information that is available on the server.

        Thanks!

        Emily

Carlos, did you only see empty folder under stored procedures folder?  Does it happen when expanding other folders, such as table, etc?

      Thanks!
