Pinned topic ICN Configuration Database Queries

‏2014-01-09T12:36:21Z |

Our profiling tools are indicating that we are executing the following queries.

DELETE FROM CNUSER.CONFIGURATON WEHRE ID = ?

INSERT INFO CNUSER.CONFIGURATION (ID, ATTRIBUTES) VALUES (?,?)

Can someone help us understand the purpose of these deletes and inserts?

Thanks,

Bob Rogers

    I looked at the configuration table and found clobs containing:

    KEY = user.navigator.adappt.member2os.n86035

    VALUE = recentSearches=[{"templateId":"StoredSearch,{D62B3085-ED7C-4C92-A454-AF8C230C79AA},{5DE43F4B-3CED-4F52-9BA3-58169392E06E}","vsId":"{5441A9EE-8303-4CE8-8E4C-219AA241716C}","name":"Account Number and Correspondence Type","description":"Search for group account number, correspondence type","mimeType":"application\u005c/x-filenet-searchtemplate"}]

    Can I assume that ICN only stores recent searches in these rows?  Is there a way to turn of storing recent searches in the configuration database?

    Bob,

    We don't have an option in the product today to disable recent searches.  You could certainly remove the feature in a plugin, but it's not something that can be turned off in the OOTB administration.  We've had customers in production for a while now and given how simplistic the ICN database table is we have yet to have anyone find the operations against it to be a bottleneck or a performance issue.
