Pinned topic Customize Self Service Center

‏2013-08-13T10:21:53Z |

Hi All,

I am using IBM SmartCloud Control Desk 7.5.1.

I want to show a label (Request New Service) on Self Service Center.

As we have migrated from version 7.5 to 7.5.1. In 7.5 we have done some customization to hide it and when we migrated this label is not shown.

Now please can anyone tell me how to show the?

Your quick response will be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Saqib Farooq

Sounds like you need to get to the config.properties file and modify it.  The config.properties file is located in two places. The primary location is the home location from which the ear file is built, and it writes itself down into the secondary location during extraction. This is the location that is referred to  when the screen is painted, so one can edit it, then observe the changes without rebuilding the ear file; in other words, editing the secondary location gives you an idea of what the output will look like, with the understanding that it will be over-written when the ear file is built.

So for permanent changes, use the primary location, possibly located here:

    ...\maximo\maximouiweb\webmodule\webclient\javascript\com\ibm\ism\pmsc\dojo

The secondary location, for temporary changes, or for testing change:

    ...\MAXUI.ear\maximouiweb.war\webclient\javascript\com\ibm\ism\pmsc\dojo

    Or:

    ...\installedApps\maxxxxxxx\MAXIMO.ear

    Dear Chief_Max,

I have modified both these  files but no joy as these files can hide and unhide icons but cannot play with the links which are shown on self service center.

Can you tell some other solution?

    Regards,

    Saqib Farooq

User was not properly authorized in security group setting.

I have assigned the accesses and it works.

You will need to create a service-desk offering with some input attributes.  Your image shows an Offering called "Request a Report" with an empty description and no input attributes. In the Offering application you can add attributes tot he Offering
