Pinned topic Data from 2 data sources into framework manager

‏2013-06-25T20:35:19Z |

Hello,

My project is in design phase and we need the data from 2 data sources oracle and peoplesoft. there are around 50 million rows in the data.. what do you suggest is the best way to combine the data? Does framework manager give performance issues? does that become easy with transformer and powerplay?

Please suggest me the best way and clear steps to do that... any help is appreciated.. Thanks..

Well, PeopleSoft is not a database, it's an application. What database vendor are you using with PeopleSoft?

If both are Oracle you probably won't have a problem. If PeopleSoft is under SQL Server, you should copy the data you need into an Oracle table so that joins are much faster.

    Good luck,
    Opher

Hello.. Thanks for your reply.. it is going to be on oracle.. Do you think that we can use framework manager will that have good performance or do you suggest building cubes?

    Thanks
