Pinned topic APMUI user defined dashboards

‏2013-11-14T10:25:50Z |

Hello, does anyone already created a dashboard in the AMPUI using the doc provided "APMUI User's Guide: Chapter 5. Customization support"?
I have a customer who want to create his own dashboard for ITCAM for WebSphere especially for Portal Server and from his point of view the doc provided is not useful at all.

    Can you share the definition files and we can investigate what's happening. And you can also check the sample shipped in APM UI. The sample can be found in $APMUI_HOME/usr/servers/apmui/apps/resources/samples/

      Hello,

      what we would like is to create same/similar dashboard for WebSphere Portal Server (WP) as provided by the product for the WebSphere Process Server (WPS) and WAS. In the attached doc for the "test" application you see the product provided component selection list and the overview and detailed dashboards provided for WPS. In the selection list you see only WAS and WPS defined. But there is no entry for WP. How to create the same functionality for WP?

        Have you prepare the datasource definition? Like this:

        {
            "uid": "WPT",
            "content": {
                "uid": "WPT",
                "label": "WPT",
                "datasets": [
                "KYNREQINST",
                "KYNREQBRK"],
                "id": "TMSAgent.%IBM.STATIC025",
                "description": "KYN:WebSphere Application Server",
                "instanceFilter": [":KYNR"]
            },
            "dsType": "itmDatasources"
        }

        Please note the instanceFilter is KYNR, which is for filtering Portal Server out WAS and Process Server. You may send me the JSON files and we can check the problem.
