I am researching the J9 equivalent of these EHCache recommendations. We do see very less scavenging
collections and far more global collections. Eventually the combination of the cache and the processing logic cause the WAS cluster JVM's to run out of memory. I believe the old generation is under stress. IBM Heap Analyzer shows roughly 30-40% occupied by HashMap entries. It is an RMI EHCache replicated cluster.
Where should I look for J9 equivalents of these ? Ours is Java 6 and WAS 8. There are J9 options in

-XX:NewSize=<1/4 of total heap size> -XX:SurvivorRatio=16
