Pinned topic ICAS unhealthy state Error

The Cognos Express Manager reports an error: "A part of this product is in an unhealthy state: ICAS".

Everything worked fine, but after the restart of the server (Windows) this error occured. We are using just Reporter module and almost everthing seems to work correctly except backing up. 

After the error occured I tried to install Xcelerator module and the installation failed. In the express.log i found: "An error has occurred during the action: Install Xcelerator ... SDK-ERR-0082 Modul ICAS service: cxmd failed to start."

Can someone give me a clue what to do?

Cognos is version 10.1, OS Win 2008 R2.

    Corrupted TM1 transaction file

    Solution:

    1- In Windows Services -> Stop IBM Cognos Analytic Server - CXMD

    2- Locate the file "tm1s.log" in <Express Install Root>IBM Cognos Express\logs\express

    3- Delete the file

    4- Start Windows Services -> Stop IBM Cognos Analytic Server - CXMD

    5- Restart all In manager portal or in Windows Services restart IBM Cognos Express

    6- Give it a few minutes to start -> Launch Express manager and you should now have a healthy Express

    Please post result

    Thanks; this worked well for me. 

    Note that there is a case where the issue is the service not being a LocalAdministrator; this is a solution when that is not the case.
