Pinned topic DS4.1

‏2013-06-23T22:54:59Z |

When I try to do a backup with DS4.1 it does the same thing 3.2 did:  A failure message that the "remote target is unreachable".  Why is that when I am attempting to back up to the file system?  How can the file system directory with owner db2inst1 be "unreachable"?  I'm running 64 bit linux.  No problem getting a connection to my database and browsing the data in the tables.

Thanks to anyone who has found a way around this (or the cause).  This has been the same with all versions of DS:  3.1.1, 3.2 and now 4.1.

Thanks much for the information.  Seems odd to require SSH to access the local hard drive but....whatever works!  And it works!

    Thanks again.
