Pinned topic Process Engine environment record cache resulting in Workflow access delay

‏2013-09-02T18:14:40Z |

Hi,

The customer has a PE application that provides a custom web page where end-user can submit a registration and, just after it, start to work on Workflow Queues. This is the main procedure:

- End-user fills web form registration data
- On submit, the custom web page creates the new user on Directory Server (using LDAP API) and assign it to a existing LDAP Group. This group has access (Query/Process) on one or more Workflow Queues.
- After form submitted, the new user expects to start working on Workflow Queues.

The challenge is, due FileNet environment record caching (link below), the new user can logon but he cannot access the Workflow Queues immediately after the registration. He is required to wait until the environment record cache (group record) will be sync with Directory server.

Did someone faced a similar requirement ?

Thanks,

Carlos

For now, the customer is working with OOTB behavior, providing a message to end-user evaluate his access 24hs after the registration.
