Pinned topic Installing IBM Java 7 on RHEL 6.5 ppc64

‏2014-02-04T15:30:36Z |

I have downloaded IBM Java 7 (ibm-java-ppc64-sdk-7.0-6.0.ppc64.rpm and ibm-java-ppc-sdk-7.0-6.0.ppc.rpm) and I am attempting to install on RHEL 6.5 with the following results:

[root@wp7803d1 home]# rpm -Uhv ibm-java-ppc64-sdk-7.0-6.0.ppc64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        libstdc++.so.6 is needed by ibm-java-ppc64-sdk-7.0-6.0.ppc64
[root@wp7803d1 home]#

These packages are installed, any ideas why java won't install?

    Alternatively, you could obtain the tgz or InstallAnywhere packages (.bin extensions) from this URL(http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/linux/download.html).See attached file:
