After upgrading AIX to 6100-09-01-1341 (bos.perf.tools 184.108.40.206) and running nmon in recording mode (nmon -x -m /var/nmon), we find that nmon holds all the /dev/hdisk devices (that nmon sees at start) busy so that we can't run rmdev. We have to kill the nmon process to remove an hdisk device. I don't recall that previous versions of nmon had this issue. Is there a way to run nmon in recording mode and avoid this issue?
