Pinned topic WSRR vs API Management

‏2013-12-10T18:41:10Z |

Hey experts,

Are there any integration/centralization plans for WEB API management and Service Management tools?

WSRR is great governance tool for SOA based services, but lacks the features that API Management tools usualy provide.

Any future plans to merge the two?

Thank you

Elena

Good paper but it did not mention API capabilities in WSRR.  What release of WSRR will handle API's?

In WSRR 8.0 in the out of the box Governance Enablement Profile, you can register REST services in WSRR.

These can be any sort of REST service, the model itself allows you to register a URL for the endpoint(s) of the REST service, and a document or URL to point to the description of the service.

WSRR does not do things like shred Swagger or RAML to create these service definitions, you can attach these docs as the "description" of the service.

In DataPower V6 and WSRR V8.0.0.2 you can then proxy these REST services in DataPower and enforce policies on them:
