Pinned topic Optim 7.3.1 - Archive File Maintenance, SELCRIT syntax

‏2013-06-04T17:26:43Z |

We are using Optim 7.3.1 as our archive solution (for Siebel), and I'm trying to use the command line interface (PR0CMND /AFMF) to selectively remove rows from a registered Archive File, using date as criteria.

We tried several SQL syntaxes to use the date in SELCRIT. without success.

e.g.

PSTDIR OPTIMDIR
AF SERVER001 '/opdata/archive/AARSRVREQ_TEST.AF'
SELCRIT OPTIMDB.SIEBEL.S_SRV_REQ CREATED <= (CURRENT TIMESTAMP -7 YEARS)
ONERROR CONTINUE
RETAINORIGINAL NO
RUN REMOVEROWS

Any idea to manipulate the date without use hardcode?

thanks,

Mauricio

    Mauricio,

Is there any error reported?  Does PR0CMND not like the <= or the CURRENT TIMESTAMP bit?

      Hi Mathew,

Thanks for reply. There's a limitation regarding the SELCRIT syntax ... as a workaround, support team asked me to create a simple shell script, manipulate the data there, and then, call Archive File Maintenance, passing the necessary parameters. I'm implementing their suggestion, and seems to be working.

      Thanks, Mauricio
