Can anyone please help us in fixing the issue on Synergy server where users are not able to start with command line "ccm start" on Windows7 64 Bit machines.

Getting the below error:

What is the Synergy version are you using? Synergy is an OS environment "sensetive" product, please firstly check if this version is supported in Win7 64bit.

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27036957

And for "ccm start" failed, this technote provides some troubleshooting steps:

I can see this error and solution tech note:

    ---------------------------------

Error: "Serious: Cannot connect to ccm"

The issue can be seen at the 25% startup mark if the IP address mapping in the /etc/hosts file between the client and the server is incorrect. You will need to ensure that both the /etc/hosts files have the entries of the server and the client machines.

For example, if the IP address of the server (telelogic) is 172.76.4.104 and Client (topaz) is 172.76.4.14 then the entries should look like the following:

The content of /etc/hosts file on the server machine (telelogic)

    127.0.0.1 telelogic localhost
    172.76.4.104 telelogic
    172.76.4.15 Topaz ## client machine

The content of /etc/hosts file on the client machine (topaz)

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    172.76.4.104 telelogic
    172.76.4.15 Topaz

Otherwise, if DHCP is set on the client machine, this issue can also be caused by the /etc/hosts file on the client machine containing the hostname of the client machine associated with an old DHCP IP address. The DHCP IP address of the client machine should match the IP address mapping in the /etc/hosts file on the server.

    ---------------------------------

Not able to figure it out how to fix this.. client machine has the line with server details in /etc/hosts file

However we cannot edit the server /etc/hosts file and add the client machine inform.

    Thanks in advance.

Can user login Synergy by ccm start from server machine?

Can user ping server name from client machine?
