I am using serialization functions to show the content of variables with complex datatypes during animation. My question is:
suppose I have defined my own datatype TypeX, for which I have a serialization function. If I need to serialize TypeX * (pointer to TypeX), I need a different serialization function. Is it possible to associate both functions (one serializing variables of type TypeX, the other pointers to TypeX) to TypeX? Or shall I declare a datatype "TypeX pointer" to do that?
